The Herman Avenue PTO channels the power and strength of our school's parents and their skills to better the education of our children through enrichment activities and to provide resources to enhance the educational experience of all students at Herman Avenue Elementary.

Events

The PTO supports events such as Multi Cultural Fair, Activity Day, Carol's Games, Odyssey of the Mind, Chess Club, Movie Nights and Reva Nights, both financially and with volunteers.

Field Trips

The PTO provides funding for a field trip for each grade level.  Classes travel to places such as Rosamond Gifford Zoo, Ithaca ScienceCenter, Currier Plastics, The MOST, Baltimore Woods, Orenda Springs, and Wonderworks.

Book Fair

 The PTO participates in Scholastic Book Fairs, which allows for students to purchase books.  50% of sales can be used to purchase books for teachers, and dollars not used to purchase books, can be redeemed for cash at 25%.
